Raymond Lifestyle Limited has appointed Publicis Groupe India as its integrated marketing partner, consolidating creative, media, digital, performance marketing, CRM, reputation and technology under one network.
The account will run through a bespoke unit called Team One Thread, drawing on Saatchi & Saatchi India, Zenith India, Performics and other Publicis Groupe agencies. Madison World was the incumbent agency.
Why the account moved
The decision followed a two-month evaluation led by Raymond Lifestyle’s marketing team. Agencies were assessed on technical capability and commercial value. The review was earlier reported to be worth more than Rs 300 crore, with AT Kearney overseeing the process.
Raymond Lifestyle’s portfolio spans the Raymond masterbrand across Fine Fabrics, Ready to Wear, Made to Measure and Custom Tailoring, along with ColorPlus, Park Avenue, Parx and Ethnix by Raymond. The company also operates a sizeable retail network and a fabric manufacturing business.
For Publicis Groupe India, the win strengthens its integrated marketing push in a market where several large advertisers are testing whether a single network can reduce complexity and unlock speed. For Raymond Lifestyle, the appointment is a bet on structural integration rather than a best-of-breed agency roster.
What Team One Thread is expected to change
The new setup is designed to bring brand, media, data, technology and customer engagement closer together. In practical terms, Raymond Lifestyle wants stronger consumer targeting, faster marketing activation and greater consistency in brand communication across channels.
The bespoke team will be led by Paritosh Srivastava, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi India, BBH India and Propagate India, and Jai Lala, CEO of Zenith India. Publicis Groupe positions the move within its Power of One model, which connects creative, media, data, technology and commerce capabilities.
What this signals for marketing teams
The appointment comes as Raymond Lifestyle is reworking its marketing organisation. Vineet Shah joined the company as Head of Omnichannel Media in September, after more than four years at Madison World, where he was most recently Vice President, Planning.
The brand is also responding to changing consumer behaviour and an increasingly omnichannel retail environment. For marketers, the shift is a useful case study in consolidation. A single network is an operating model, not a strategy. Before chasing integration, teams should clarify decision rights, data ownership and shared KPIs; otherwise consolidation can replace external silos with internal ones.
- Write one brief and one measurement framework across creative, media and CRM before the account starts.
- Name a single client lead with real authority over the network team.
- Set a 90-day audit to check whether speed and consistency actually improve after consolidation.
The next test will be whether Team One Thread can activate quickly across a wide fashion and lifestyle portfolio without flattening brand-specific nuance.
