Raymond Lifestyle has made a landmark change to its marketing operating model. The company has appointed Publicis Groupe India as its first-ever integrated marketing partner, consolidating a mandate that had never before been held by a single agency in its 101-year history.
What the partnership covers
The arrangement is built around a custom unit called Team One Thread. It combines Saatchi & Saatchi India, Zenith India, Performics, PDX India and Propagate India. Together these teams will handle creative, media, performance marketing, CRM, digital, reputation and technology for Raymond Lifestyle’s entire portfolio.
The portfolio includes The Raymond Masterbrand and its Fine Fabrics, Ready to Wear, Made to Measure and Custom Tailoring offerings, as well as ColorPlus, Park Avenue, Parx and Ethnix by Raymond.
Team One Thread will be led by Paritosh Srivastava, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, BBH India and Propagate India, with support from Jai Lala, CEO of Zenith India.
Why the consolidation matters
Raymond Lifestyle ran a comprehensive two-month evaluation before choosing Publicis Groupe. The company’s marketing team led the process, judging agencies on technical capabilities and commercial value. Satyaki Ghosh, CEO of Raymond Lifestyle, said the brand wanted a partner that shared its passion and could help it move with “clarity, agility and impact.”
The decision reflects a broader operational bet. CMO Kalpana Singh said the brand is operating in an omnichannel world where shopper preferences are changing quickly. She said serving the modern shopper requires dexterity, integration and adoption of AI in marketing decisions. The mandate is expected to deliver more connected storytelling, sharper consumer targeting, greater agility and faster activation across channels.
For Publicis Groupe South Asia, the win is a showcase of its Power of One model, which brings creative, media, data, technology and commerce under a unified structure. The pitch dealt with the breadth of Raymond Lifestyle’s brief rather than one brand or one service line.
What marketers can take away
For brand and agency leaders, this is a useful case study in how large incumbents are rethinking agency complexity.
- Evaluate technical range first: Raymond Lifestyle scored capabilities across creative, media, data, CRM and tech before commercial value.
- Ask for one leadership layer: the custom team has clear leads from Saatchi & Saatchi and Zenith, avoiding a scattered reporting structure.
- Define integration outcomes: connected storytelling, speed and targeting are the promised returns, not just a lower fee or bigger ideas.
The real proof will be execution. A unified pitch is one thing; making five specialist agencies behave as one operating team across a legacy portfolio is another. Marketers will watch whether the model produces visibly faster, more consistent campaigns for Raymond Lifestyle’s brands.
