Enterprise skilling and talent transformation company Techademy has appointed Dara Elavia as its Chief Revenue Officer. The Mumbai-headquartered firm said the hire is aimed at accelerating its enterprise business, sharpening its global go-to-market strategy and widening its footprint across international markets.

Who is Dara Elavia

Elavia arrives with more than 14 years of experience across SaaS and technology, with a track record of building and scaling sales organisations and driving revenue growth in global markets. Before Techademy, he held senior sales leadership roles at Wingify, BrowserStack, Whatfix and Dell Technologies.

Across those stints, he led cross-border teams and worked on enterprise sales, go-to-market strategy, business development, strategic partnerships and revenue growth. His market experience spans EMEA and APAC, with a focus on enterprise sales, account expansion and growth strategy. He also brings over 14 years of people management and leadership experience.

The mandate

At Techademy, Elavia will own the company’s global revenue and go-to-market strategy. His brief covers accelerating growth, deepening enterprise relationships, expanding market presence and building a high-performance revenue organisation.

“Techademy is operating at an important intersection of technology, talent and enterprise transformation,” Elavia said, adding that his focus will be on creating a “disciplined, customer-led revenue organization” that scales sustainably while delivering measurable value to customers.

Chief Executive Officer Dr. N. Keshava Raju said Elavia brings a combination of enterprise sales leadership and international market experience, along with a record of building and scaling revenue organisations — capabilities the company sees as valuable as it enters its next growth phase.

Techademy by the numbers

The company points to more than three decades of experience in enterprise skilling. Its platform stitches together learning, practice, assessment, support and insights. Key markers include:

  • 300+ enterprise clients
  • 1 million+ professionals enabled through its skill ecosystem
  • Three decades of experience in the enterprise skilling space
  • An active push into international markets, which Elavia will lead

Why the timing matters

The appointment lands at a moment when workforce capability has become a board-level conversation. Techademy cited the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, which found that 63% of employers see skills gaps as a major barrier to business transformation, while 85% expect to prioritise upskilling their workforce.

That is a large, quantified pain point — and it explains why a skilling platform is investing in a dedicated revenue leader rather than distributing the function across regional heads. When demand is broad but buying cycles are complex and enterprise-led, the constraint is rarely awareness. It is coverage, qualification and disciplined pipeline management.

What marketers can take from this

The CRO hire is a familiar signal in B2B SaaS, and it usually reads the same way for the marketing function sitting alongside it. A few things typically follow:

  • Marketing gets pulled closer to pipeline. A revenue-owning leader tends to consolidate marketing, sales and customer expansion under one number, which changes how campaigns are measured.
  • Geo-specific go-to-market becomes the priority. With EMEA and APAC experience in the chair, expect region-tuned messaging, partner-led motions and localised proof points rather than one global campaign.
  • Category proof beats category noise. In skilling, buyers want outcome data — completion, capability lift, business impact — not just platform features. Case studies and measurable claims do more work than brand storytelling here.

For marketing and martech professionals tracking the L&D and enterprise SaaS space, this is a useful watch-item: leadership hires of this kind are often the earliest visible sign of an aggressive international expansion push, and they usually precede a step-up in demand generation, events and partner marketing spend.
