Monks, the digital operating brand of S4Capital, has reshaped its leadership across EMEA and APAC to push a more integrated, AI-enabled marketing and technology services offer. The changes widen Nirvik Singh’s remit to both regions, bring Ash Smith into a new APAC executive vice president role from November 13, 2026, and place Fay Denis du Peage as managing director for Australia and New Zealand with immediate effect.

A wider remit for Nirvik Singh

Singh had already stepped down as a non-executive director on the S4Capital board to join Monks as CEO of Marketing Services, EMEA. The new announcement extends that role to include APAC. He reports to Bruno Lambertini, CEO of Marketing Services at Monks.

With more than 35 years in the industry, Singh’s last role before Monks was global chief operating officer and president international at Grey Group. His client-side experience includes work with Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company, Volvo and Haleon. The expanded remit suggests Monks wants a single leader to align its EMEA and APAC marketing services strategy rather than running the regions in isolation.

Ash Smith arrives from Tag and Dentsu

Smith takes the EVP Asia Pacific post effective November 13, 2026, reporting to Singh. His brief is to accelerate regional business growth, deepen client partnerships, and expand the agency’s product and solutions capabilities. He brings more than 18 years across Australia, Europe, China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, most recently as chief product and solutions officer for JAPAC at Tag, a Dentsu company.

In a company statement, Smith said: “The best agencies don’t just make work, they solve problems.” He framed the job as bringing media, creative, production and data to the table as one team rather than a set of silos. That line captures the operational bet behind the appointment: Monks is selling clients a connected system, not a collection of service lines.

Australia and New Zealand get a dedicated MD

Du Peage becomes managing director for Australia and New Zealand immediately. Based in Sydney, she reports to Smith and is tasked with deepening client relationships and integrating creative, media, data and technology in those two markets. She moves from senior vice president for media in APAC, with a background at Monks and MightyHive.

Du Peage’s stated priority is to help clients become what Monks calls “Real-Time Brands”: marketers that connect media, creativity, data and AI to create better outcomes live, instead of waiting for siloed workstreams.

Lambertini added that Australia is Monks’ largest APAC market, making the dedicated AUNZ leadership an important step.

Why the reshuffle matters

This is not just a series of job moves. It signals how S4Capital’s Monks is organising itself around a unitary model and the Monks.Flow platform, which ties creative, media, production, data and technology into one workflow. The leadership structure now mirrors that product story.

For marketers, the practical takeaways are clear:

  • Agencies are accelerating the shift from discipline-based service to integrated, AI-enabled delivery.
  • APAC and AUNZ will likely get stronger local client teams under a single regional growth mandate.
  • Product and solutions experience is now becoming a leadership requirement, not a back-office function.

If you are evaluating agency partners, ask how their leadership structure supports integrated delivery, and whether AI platforms are genuinely part of the workflow or just a pitch narrative.
