Logitech has named Vikrant Malik as its Marketing Head for India, handing him a brief that centres on category development and building a stronger product portfolio in the Indian market. Malik announced the move on LinkedIn, and the appointment takes him into the technology sector after a long consumer healthcare career at Haleon and GSK.

For India’s marketing community, the move is a useful reminder of how leadership hires reveal a brand’s next phase before any campaign breaks. Logitech is not simply hiring a campaign custodian; it is hiring for market-building and portfolio depth.

From consumer health to consumer tech

Malik joins Logitech from Haleon, where he served as Expert Marketing Lead – India Sub Continent from July 2022 to August 2026. In that role, he managed marketing responsibilities across the India Sub Continent.

Before Haleon, he spent more than four years with GSK Consumer Healthcare India. Between April and June 2022, he was Expert Marketing Lead – India Sub Continent, covering oral health, respiratory health, pain relief, and vitamins, minerals and supplements.

His longest-running GSK assignment was as Marketing Manager – Oral Health Care from April 2019 to March 2022. There, he worked on the Sensodyne portfolio with marketing and P&L responsibilities. He had earlier served as Category Customer Marketing Manager from January 2018 to April 2019.

A portfolio-wide mandate

At Logitech, Malik takes on a broader category and portfolio mandate as the company looks to further develop its presence across India. That wording suggests the role will be judged on growth across categories, not just the health of a single product line.

His resume also brings entrepreneurial and digital experience. Malik co-founded Neighbee, a collaboration platform for citizen volunteer groups, and previously worked as Product Evangelist at PK Online Ventures. That mix of brand management, P&L ownership and digital product exposure could shape how Logitech India approaches its marketing agenda.

Why category development matters

Category development is the practice of growing the total market a brand competes in, rather than only taking share from competitors inside an existing segment. For a company such as Logitech, the ask appears to be about making its product portfolio easier to understand, trial and adopt in India.

Malik’s multi-category consumer health background is relevant here. Leading Sensodyne meant managing a brand in a category where education, trust and retail availability are part of the job. His VMS, pain relief and respiratory health exposure adds another layer of portfolio discipline.

What to watch next

  • Watch how Logitech India positions its portfolio under the new category development mandate.
  • Look for whether consumer health tactics such as education-led communication and partner programmes show up in Logitech’s marketing.
  • Track where Malik’s digital and entrepreneurial experience influences community and product-led marketing in India.

The appointment offers a concrete read for agencies and brand teams: when a company recruits a category development leader, the operational priority often shifts toward demand creation, portfolio clarity and partner alignment. For now, Logitech India’s marketing chapter has a new lead and a more expansive brief.
