Canva has launched its biggest India campaign yet, “Aap Aur Canva, Jodi Wah Wah!”, with a reality-show judging panel featuring Farah Khan, Raghu Ram and Terence Lewis. The new work moves the platform’s India story from “Dil Se Design Tak”—encouraging people to believe they can create—to a sharper focus on execution: helping creators, working professionals and small businesses turn ideas into finished output.

From creative confidence to execution

The campaign is built around a simple insight. India has a growing pool of creative confidence, but the real challenge is no longer having an idea; it is bringing that idea to life. Canva says its AI-powered features are aimed at reducing the gap between imagination and execution, and the campaign places those tools in front of the audience through familiar television energy.

The hero films, shot in Hindi and Tamil, show Farah Khan, Raghu Ram and Terence Lewis judging creators, professionals and entrepreneurs who use Canva to complete everyday creative work. India is Canva’s fourth-largest and one of its fastest-growing markets, which makes this a serious localization effort rather than a small adaptation.

AI tools in the spotlight

Rather than a generic brand film, the campaign works as a product showcase. The tools highlighted include:

  • Magic Video 2.0 – converts ideas into videos.
  • AI-powered Presentations – creates decks from prompts.
  • Magic Layers – helps users work with marketing assets.
  • Canva Pro Lite – an AI-first, mobile-first subscription designed and priced for India.

Short-form creatives also spotlight Image to Video, Style Match, AI Video Effects, Offline Mode, and Music and SFX Generation.

Why this matters for marketers

For marketing teams, the campaign is a useful example of selling outcomes rather than features. The reality-show format borrows cultural language that Indian audiences already understand, making a software story feel more accessible. It also shows how a global platform can localize not just language, but the entire creative frame.

Chandrika Deb, Country Manager, India, Canva, summed up the shift: “Our role at Canva isn’t to tell people how to be creative – it’s to make sure nothing stands between that spark of an idea and the confidence to share it.”

A takeaway framework

If you are planning a product-led campaign, Canva’s approach suggests three moves: name the confidence blocker, demonstrate the transformation, and localize the execution across language and format. The collaboration with independent agency Fundamental is also a reminder that a focused creative partner can help a large platform feel more culturally specific.

“Design is intimidating for most of us. Not because we’re short on inspiration. Because we lack the know-how and tools to convert our vision into reality. And that’s exactly where Canva comes in,” said Pallavi Chakravarti, Founder and CCO, Fundamental.
