PostcardMania, the Florida-based marketing technology company, is expanding its flagship Everywhere Small Business campaign with a new service aimed at helping small and mid-sized businesses show up in AI-driven search. The offering, Optimize Search + AI, launched on September 28 and focuses on improving visibility in Google search as well as generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Why AI search is a different game

Traditional SEO still matters, but the sources that influence visibility are shifting. PostcardMania’s launch draws on a growing body of research showing that AI-generated answers are now a primary way consumers find businesses. AI Overviews have passed 2.5 billion monthly active users, and AI Mode has crossed one billion.

The pressure is visible in traffic data too. An analysis of nearly 69,000 Google searches found that when an AI summary appeared, visitors clicked a traditional result in only 8% of visits. For small businesses, that can translate into fewer leads, even if rankings look unchanged.

What the new service actually does

Optimize Search + AI is an enhancement to the existing Everywhere Small Business campaign, which already combines direct mail with matching ads across Google, Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, YouTube and Connected TV. The new layer is designed to cover the research phase of the buying journey, when prospects are actively comparing options.

PostcardMania’s approach follows a three-month setup process:

  • Month 1 — Analyze: audit the Google Business Profile, online citations, website and local search visibility.
  • Month 2 — Optimize: improve key off-site listings and provide homepage recommendations covering technical SEO, structure and content.
  • Month 3 Plus — Build: review additional pages and create new optimized content on an ongoing basis to strengthen search authority and AI visibility.

The off-site shift SMBs often miss

One of the most important findings behind the launch is that AI platforms draw heavily from information outside a company’s own website. Directories, review sites, news coverage, third-party articles and videos all feed AI recommendations. Research across 75,000 brands found the top three factors most closely correlated with AI Overview visibility were all off-site, and earned media accounted for 84% of AI citations.

PostcardMania Founder and CEO Joy Gendusa said, “Small business owners cannot afford to ignore this shift in how people search,” adding that businesses without a strong presence across multiple online places risk being passed over for a competitor.

Why this matters for marketers

For SMBs without a dedicated marketing team, the most practical takeaway is that AI visibility is not a future problem. It can be managed with a phased audit-optimize-build workflow, and it should sit alongside brand awareness rather than replace it. PostcardMania’s expanded campaign is a sign that multichannel providers are now packaging AI search as a standard layer, not an add-on curiosity.
