Monster Energy has appointed Ashita Khanna as senior marketing manager for APAC, India, based in Gurugram. Khanna announced the move with a short statement, and the appointment places a full-funnel marketer behind the energy drink brand’s India and APAC agenda.
Khanna brings around 12 years of experience across brand building, communications, content planning, key accounts, business development and revenue. She has worked across consumer durables, FMCG and media, most recently at Lenskart.com, where she led brand marketing for Aqualens from August 2025 to August 2026.
The Aqualens playbook
At Aqualens, Khanna owned brand strategy, growth and profit-and-loss responsibility for the contact lens label. The brand moved from a challenger position to a top two or three player in India, with annual brand revenue of Rs 200 crore to Rs 400 crore plus, according to the announcement.
- Ran full-funnel marketing across performance, social, CRM, influencer, content and ATL
- Reported 20–25% year-on-year growth in brand consideration and equity
- Reached 25–40 million consumers annually and scaled more than 800 influencers
- Managed an annual marketing P&L of Rs 25–50 crore
Khanna also led go-to-market for three to five product launches, including a powered coloured contact lens built on a consumer insight for an underserved audience and Aqualens Multipurpose Wipes. A celebrity campaign with actress Wamiqa Gabbi ran as a social-first, performance-integrated push across Google and Meta.
Why this matters for marketers
Energy drinks live or die on youth culture, retail visibility and efficient acquisition. Khanna’s record of running brand and performance as a single profit-and-loss job is a signal of what global challenger brands are now hiring for: not just campaign managers, but operators who can connect insight, product, creators and conversion.
Before Lenskart, Khanna held marketing and events sponsorship roles at Mirchi, key account and growth marketing at JHS Svendgaard Laboratories, product marketing at LG Electronics, and account servicing at HS Ad India. That mix gives her a wide view of both brand-building and hard commercial targets.
“I’m excited to share that I’m joining Monster Energy as Senior Marketing Manager-APAC, India,” Khanna said.
What to watch
For Indian marketers, the benchmark is the Aqualens run: use sharp consumer insights to launch first-of-its-kind products, scale creators against ROAS targets, and keep a single owner accountable for brand consideration and revenue. If Monster Energy allows the same playbook in India, expect faster creator-led campaigns, sharper product-led storytelling and tighter performance measurement.
