Archer & Bull has appointed Parag Patil as Chief Operating Officer, India, as the executive search and leadership advisory firm looks to scale its South Asia presence. Patil will focus on strengthening operational scale, organisational capabilities and execution as the business expands across India and South Asia.
India growth plan
Archer & Bull has been present in India since 2015. India currently contributes an estimated 10% of the firm’s global revenues, and the company expects that contribution to double over the coming year. The firm is expanding its practice across CXO and executive search, board succession advisory, digital and consumer leadership, technology, fintech, global capability centres and cross-border leadership.
As part of this push, it plans to strengthen its consultant network and sector-specialist capabilities across technology, consumer, retail, fintech, digital businesses and GCCs, while using its international network for cross-border mandates.
What Parag Patil brings
Patil has previously held senior roles at Fathima Group of Companies, Unikai and Wadzpay. His experience spans IT, retail, FMCG and fintech. Earlier CHRO roles are expected to bring a client-side perspective to Archer & Bull’s search and advisory work.
- Senior roles at Fathima Group of Companies, Unikai and Wadzpay

- CHRO experience in large-scale enterprises in the Middle East and India
- Focus on operational scale and execution across South Asia
Why it matters for marketing and media leaders
For marketing, media and martech professionals, the appointment is a useful signal. India is becoming a larger part of global leadership hiring, driven by AI-led transformation, the growth of GCCs, digital business models and cross-border talent movement.
Founder Rajat Mehra described India as “a global leadership hub” producing CEOs, technology leaders and digital transformation specialists. The firm has already undertaken strategic mandates for organisations including Nykaa and Tata Group companies such as Trent and Westside, particularly in digital leadership, growth and transformation roles.
Patil said, “Leadership hiring is undergoing a fundamental shift,” as organisations look beyond conventional credentials for leaders who can navigate transformation and create measurable business impact.
A practical lens for senior hires
Marketing and talent teams evaluating senior roles can use three filters:
- Transformation depth: Can the leader manage change, not just maintain a function?
- Commercial impact: Does the role connect directly to revenue, growth or customer outcomes?
- Cross-border readiness: Can the candidate operate across India, South Asia and global markets?
As executive search shifts beyond traditional credentials, these filters can help hiring teams and candidates prioritise capabilities that match the current market.
