The campaign idea
Hashtag Orange has launched a new brand campaign for Escorts Kubota’s MU Series tractors, built around the line “Dum Bhi. Bharosa Bhi.” The campaign introduces two models, MU4502 and MU5002, available in 2WD and 4WD options.
The creative places farmer confidence at the centre. A tractor can deliver raw strength, but long-term reliability is what gives a farmer the assurance to keep working across seasons. That dual promise is captured in the campaign line, which pairs strength (“dum”) with trust (“bharosa”).
“We wanted to look beyond the product features and uncover the larger human truth behind the machine,” said Amit Shankar, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Hashtag Orange. “Power is what enables a farmer to perform, but trust is what gives him the confidence to keep moving forward.”
Product proof points
For marketers, the campaign is a useful example of turning a product warranty into an emotional brand asset. The MU Series features India’s first 8-year warranty in the tractor industry, according to Escorts Kubota. That is a concrete credibility signal in a category where reliability directly affects a farmer’s operations.
The tractors are powered by the KQ4P 4-cylinder Japanese engine, designed for smooth and consistent power with durability under load. A 12+4 Synchro Gear Transmission is aimed at flexibility across field preparation, puddling, haulage and PTO-driven operations.
- Power: KQ4P engine and transmission options for multiple applications
- Trust: India’s first 8-year tractor warranty, highlighting durability
- Positioning: Farmer confidence, not just machine specifications
Why it matters for marketers
The campaign works like a simple trust equation: capability plus commitment equals confidence. The engine and transmission provide capability, while the 8-year warranty signals long-term commitment.
Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Tractor Business Division, Escort Kubota Limited, said the MU Series was developed with Indian farmers’ need for reliability and versatility at its core, and the warranty reflects confidence in quality and durability.
“This is the promise we seek to bring alive through Dum Bhi. Bharosa Bhi.,” Chugh said.
For brand managers, the takeaway is that functional categories can differentiate through assurance. A longer warranty is not just an after-sales feature; in this campaign it becomes the proof behind the emotional promise. Teams working in auto, durable goods, agri-equipment and rural marketing can apply a similar structure: identify the customer anxiety, match it with a verifiable proof point, and express both in one simple line.
