Men’s intimatewear brand UNDRESS has signed on as the presenting partner for Rizz Master, a new dating entertainment show on JioHotstar Tadka. The move is less about a logo on a show and more about shifting what the category is allowed to say.

For a category that many brands still sell through functional claims — waistbands, fabric, breathability — this is a deliberate attempt to make intimatewear part of a relationship conversation. On paper, that is a big leap. In practice, a dating show is one of the few formats where that conversation already happens naturally.

The announcement

Rizz Master premiered on 22 October, and its first full episode is scheduled for 29 October. The show features creator Elvish Yadav and actors Isha Malviya and Rajat Sood. UNDRESS joins as the presenting brand, giving it sustained visibility across the format rather than a one-off ad break.

The brand is using the show’s themes of confidence, attraction, chemistry and impression-making to bring intimatewear into a broader relationship conversation. Founder Shradha Chaturvedi said, ‘Rizz is about confidence, chemistry and making an impression,’ adding that attraction does not end once someone gets a date.

The positioning shift

Men’s intimatewear has traditionally been marketed around comfort, fit and function. UNDRESS wants to expand that story to include confidence, intention and personal effort. Its platform line, ‘If intimacy involves two people, the effort should too,’ gives the association a memorable point of view.

This is a category-code move. Category codes are the cues people use to understand what a product is for. When a men’s innerwear brand starts talking about shared effort and chemistry, it is adding emotional cues to a category that has mostly run on physical product attributes.

The source of the shift is the idea that attraction does not stop at the first date. By carrying that thought into intimatewear, UNDRESS is asking men to see what they wear as part of ongoing effort rather than an afterthought. That changes the message from comfort-led to presence-led.

Why entertainment adjacency works here

Rather than placing a function-led ad inside unrelated content, UNDRESS is attaching itself to a show that already discusses attraction and impression-making. That thematic fit lets the brand join a conversation instead of interrupting it.

Content sponsorships often fail when the theme and the brand promise do not match. Here, the overlap is direct: a show about chemistry and making an impression, for a brand that wants to mean confidence and intention. That alignment reduces the need for forced messaging.

For media planners and brand managers, the signals to watch are:

  • Theme fit: the show’s dating and chemistry focus matches the brand’s new emotional territory.
  • Repeatable brand line: the shared-effort idea is simple enough to travel across episodes and social cuts.
  • Younger streaming audience: a JioHotstar Tadka show puts the message in front of viewers comfortable with direct intimacy conversations.

What to do about it

If you’re marketing a functional category, look for content partnerships where the show’s theme already supports your brand promise. Don’t chase reach alone; choose an adjacency that makes the product mean something in context. The first episode on 29 October will be an early signal: marketers should watch whether the brand line is integrated into the show’s narrative or left to standard sponsor spots. The real test is whether viewers remember UNDRESS as part of the story, not just as a sponsor tag.
