JSW Group has launched ‘Tere Sang Bharat’, an anthem film built to back Team India at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. The campaign, with creative thinking from Ogilvy India, extends JSW’s existing ‘Rukna Nahin Hai’ platform and its JSW Inspire partnership with the Indian Olympic Association.
JSW Inspire serves as Team India’s Official Sports Performance and Lifestyle Partner for the 2026 season, covering both the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. The anthem brings together 22 athletes from 11 disciplines, positioning the India jersey as the moment an athlete starts carrying the hopes of a nation.
Why the campaign is structured to last
The film is not a standalone piece. It works as an expression of a longer platform: ‘Rukna Nahin Hai’ is the belief, and ‘Tere Sang Bharat’ is the voice that gives it a fan-facing shape for a major sporting season.
- One platform, multiple events: The creative can stretch across the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games without needing a new line.
- Real athlete roster: The film features 22 athletes from 11 sports, rooting the story in actual Team India journeys.
- Fan participation built in: The JSW Inspire Team India jersey gives supporters a tangible way to join the campaign.
- Backing with proof: JSW says 51 JSW-backed athletes are representing India at the Asian Games – 49 from the Inspire Institute of Sport across 10 disciplines and two from the Sports Excellence Programme.
The marketer’s take
JSW is using sport as an emotional territory where a large industrial group can borrow meaning from athletes and nationhood. The creative idea, according to Sukesh Nayak, Group Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy India, is ‘simple and deeply human’: when an athlete wears the India jersey, they carry the support of a billion people.
Parth Jindal, Founder and Director of JSW Sports, frames it as more than a campaign. ‘Rukna Nahin Hai’ is a belief in the relentless spirit of Indian athletes, and ‘Tere Sang Bharat’ gives that belief a voice. For marketers, that consistency between brand platform, film and product is what turns sponsorship into brand equity.
The move is a reminder to anchor event-led work in a core brand belief. If one message can travel from athlete film to jersey to social, the brand is not just buying visibility – it is building association over an entire season.
