As India’s wedding season picks up, most beauty brands build their stories around the bride. ETUDE India is opening with a different character: the bridesmaid. The brand has launched its first-ever wedding campaign featuring actor and brand ambassador Palak Tiwari, marking its entry into wedding-season storytelling.

Inside the campaign

Set against a friend’s wedding, the film follows Palak through getting-ready moments with friends, haldi and sangeet celebrations. Rather than a standalone product demo, the narrative places ETUDE’s latest foundation launches inside the flow of preparation and celebration.

The campaign uses the Double Lasting Hydrating Foundation as the base for Palak’s look, with the Double Lasting Powder Cushion positioned for touch-ups through long festivities. It is a simple product story built for the wedding guest: one base for the first function, one compact for the moments after the dance floor.

“I loved being part of this campaign and stepping into the role of a bridesmaid,” Palak Tiwari said.

Why the bridesmaid angle matters

Mini Sood Banerjee, Deputy Director and Head of Marketing at Amorepacific India, said the wedding season creates a series of special occasions where beauty routines are part of getting ready. She felt it was the right time for ETUDE India to join that conversation.

That framing stretches the brand’s relevance beyond a single bride. Wedding guests, bridesmaids and close friends attend multiple functions and often make multiple beauty purchases. Long-wear foundation and a touch-up cushion are practical tools for an audience that has to survive ceremonies, choreography and heat.

Wedding season is also one of the most concentrated sales windows for beauty in India. By entering it with a friend-group story, ETUDE positions itself inside routines that repeat across haldi, sangeet and reception events, not just at one bridal moment.

India’s wedding calendar has become a crowded marketing moment across beauty, fashion and jewellery. Campaigns that survive it tend to give consumers a recognizable role, a clear use case and an emotional reason to remember the brand after the function ends. ETUDE’s bridesmaid framing tries to hit all three.

What marketers can borrow

ETUDE’s move is a clean example of occasion-led marketing. The product is not separated from the cultural moment; it is folded into it.

  • Choose a wider protagonist: A bridesmaid lens makes the campaign relevant to every guest, not just one person.
  • Map products to the event timeline: Base for getting ready, cushion for touch-ups—each product gets a clear job.
  • Let warmth carry the story: The ambassador’s role feels like a friend celebrating, which softens the sales message.

For brands planning around the wedding calendar, the takeaway is to design the product journey around each ritual, not just the final look. Marketing teams can run the same exercise across the full guest list: what does the bride need, what does the bridesmaid need, and what do guests need at each function?
