The latest RECMA India Quali Pack puts Havas Media India at No. 1 in the 2026 qualitative assessment, with 21 points and a Dominant Profile for the fifth consecutive year. That is not a one-off awards-season result; it is a five-year run at the highest classification in the study.

The agency also won the top slot in new business for the August 2025 to August 2026 period and finished among the top five media agencies in India by Overall Activity Volume for 2025.

What RECMA actually scores

RECMA, an independent research company that evaluates media agencies, runs the India Quali Pack across 18 criteria. The scorecard is built on two dimensions. Havas Media India’s 21 points break down as 11 points in Vitality and 10 points in Structure.

  • Vitality tracks commercial momentum: new-business balance, pitch competitiveness, growth and awards.
  • Structure tracks the agency’s build: specialist resources, capabilities and client portfolio.

The Dominant Profile is the top classification, making consistency the headline signal rather than the raw number alone.

The signal for advertisers

Rankings are a due-diligence shortcut, not a final verdict. Five straight years at the top suggests Havas Media India has maintained capability and client confidence through market cycles. Leading new business over the measured year adds a second signal: brands are placing mandates with the agency, not just admiring its credentials.

“These achievements reflect the strength of our business and the momentum we are building in the market,” said Mohit Joshi, CEO, Havas Media Network India.

How to read the score like a marketer

Before shortlisting, split the score the way RECMA does. Strong Vitality but weak Structure can mean an agency is winning pitches faster than it can resource them. Strong Structure but weak Vitality can mean an impressive bench that is not converting into new business. The combination is what matters.

  • Use Vitality to check whether an agency is winning competitive pitches and growing accounts.
  • Use Structure to check whether the agency has the specialist teams your brand actually needs.
  • Ask for working examples of data, AI and technology integration—proof, not slideware.

The capability behind the ranking

Havas attributes part of its momentum to Converged.AI, its integrated data, tools and technology stack that pairs data, technology and artificial intelligence with human insight. For clients, that is a useful reminder: a ranking should be the start of a capability conversation, not the end of it.

Rana Barua, Group CEO India, SEA & North Asia (Japan & South Korea), described the result as a proud milestone and a reason to keep pushing boundaries. The challenge now is whether the agency can convert a fifth consecutive Dominant Profile into the next phase of client impact.
