COLORS’ stunt reality property Khatron Ke Khiladi has already generated strong viewership and social chatter this season, but the latest brand move takes the show’s partnership play a step further. Hero Xtreme, one of the co-powered sponsors, has gifted its bikes to all 13 contestants as well as host and action director Rohit Shetty.
The reward is designed to align Hero Xtreme’s positioning with the show’s core theme of facing extreme challenges. The brand framed it as celebrating the shared DNA of performance, fearlessness and pushing beyond limits.
Brand fit meets reward moment
Mahesh Shetty, Head – Entertainment Sales, TV, JioStar, said the integration reflects how the network wants brand partnerships to become part of the content experience.
“For us, brand partnerships work best when they become a natural part of the content experience rather than remain an external association,” Shetty said.
Hero MotoCorp CMO Aashish Midha framed the association around the brand’s core promise.
“Hero Xtreme stands for the spirit of challenging limits, and Khatron Ke Khiladi is a natural expression of that mindset,” Midha said.
Why this integration works
For marketing and media professionals, the activation is a useful example of moving from pure sponsorship to product-in-hand storytelling. The brand is not just visible during breaks; it becomes part of the reward narrative and reaches a young, adventure-seeking audience.
- Direct brand fit: Xtreme’s performance-led identity matches the stunt format rather than feeling borrowed.
- Talent-led amplification: Fourteen visible faces receive the product, creating organic social conversation and peer influence.
- Integrated reward moment: Gifting is embedded in the show’s premise, making the brand feel native to the content.
- Cultural relevance: The association rides on a reality franchise with high youth resonance on COLORS and JioHotstar.
What marketers can apply
The lesson for brands evaluating entertainment sponsorships is to ask whether the brand can become part of the story, not just a logo around it. In this case, Hero Xtreme turned its sponsorship into a tangible outcome that contestants and the host can experience, talk about and share across platforms. For similar campaigns, teams can shortlist properties where the product has a logical role, design a visible reward or usage moment, and convert that moment into short-form content for the brand’s own channels.
The show airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 pm on COLORS and JioHotstar. It is presented by Maruti Suzuki, co-powered by Hero Xtreme, Thums Up and JK Super Cement, with other partners including Lux Cozi, Parle Monaco, Google Search, Woodland, Snickers and Envy.
