Mumbai: Creator management and influencer marketing agency JEEVMEDIA has promoted Arpita Sen to Head of Talent, a year after she joined the organisation as an intern. The elevation puts her in charge of the agency’s talent strategy and creator relationships at a time when the creator economy is becoming more professionalised.
Sen has worked across creator onboarding, campaign strategy and revenue growth since joining JEEVMEDIA. As Head of Talent, she will manage creators including Veeraj Gadda, Raoul Ven Mullem and Selena Chinnakotla, and will help them build distinct, sustainable personal brands.
From intern to talent leader in 12 months
For the agency, Sen’s trajectory is a proof point of its internal-development culture. Founder Prafulla Kumar Jha described it as “a powerful example of what is possible when you empower talent with ownership and purpose.”
Sen said the agency is “shifting the focus from purely transactional collaborations to building creators as long-term brands,” a mandate that moves creator management toward sustainable careers rather than one-off deals.
The creator filter is changing
Sen’s stated mandate shifts selection away from follower counts alone. Her team will evaluate emerging creators on three signals:
- Storytelling ability: can the creator hold attention beyond a single viral post?
- Audience engagement: is there repeat, meaningful interaction rather than passive reach?
- Long-term vision: can the creator build a career, not just a campaign cycle?
Sen said the goal is to create “an ecosystem where creators feel secure and empowered to treat their work as a serious, sustainable career.”
Why this matters for brands
For marketers, the signal is clear: the value of a creator is moving from reach to retention. A talent head who explicitly deprioritises follower counts gives brand teams a ready framework for their own creator scoring models.
Teams can apply the same thinking by writing briefs around engagement quality and narrative fit, and by structuring creator partnerships with longer measurement windows rather than treating them as short-flight media buys. This is especially relevant as audiences grow more selective and platform algorithms reward genuine interaction over inflated followings.
The promotion also matters for agency leaders. In a competitive talent market, showing an intern-to-leader growth path can be a retention and recruitment asset for young professionals entering creator management.
