Meta has introduced Meta One, a subscription offering that layers paid AI, expression and professional tools across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. The core apps and Meta AI remain free, but paid plans raise usage limits and unlock specialised features. Meta says the rollout is gradual and the programme has already crossed 15 million subscriptions and trials globally. The launch begins with more than 50 features, with future expansion planned for Edits, AI glasses and other products.
India pricing and plan structure
In India, individual app plans start at ₹79 per month, while bundled plans target users who want broader access to AI tools.
- Individual plans: WhatsApp Plus at ₹79 per month; Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus at ₹99 per month each.
- AI-focused bundles: Core at ₹549 per month and Premium at ₹1,950 per month, with higher limits for image and video generation and creative tools.
- Creator and business tiers: Essential starts at ₹639, Advanced at ₹2,099, Expert at ₹6,399, and Max at ₹20,990 per month.
Meta’s early testing found more than half of bundled-plan subscribers used both AI and expression features, with tools such as Instagram’s Restyle and voice effects among the main drivers.
What creators and businesses get
The professional tiers move several discovery and management features behind a subscription. Essential includes a verified badge, enhanced profiles, a prominent follow button on Reels, automated follow invitations, impersonation protection and greater Meta Business Agent capacity on WhatsApp. Advanced adds scheduled Stories for up to 30 days, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, additional linked devices and business broadcast credits on WhatsApp.
Higher tiers are aimed at teams that need more feature access and agent capacity at scale. Meta also plans to add Edits Plus to Meta One later, with extra cloud storage and an AI assistant for analysing Instagram insights and generating content ideas.
Why this matters for marketers
Meta One signals that platform features once treated as experiments or free perks are becoming paid layers, especially around AI compute and professional reach tools. For marketing teams and creators, the question is not whether every plan is worth buying, but which features map to measurable outcomes.
A practical way to evaluate the offering is to separate the tools by job:
- Discovery: follow button on Reels and automated follow invitations.
- Credibility: verified badge and impersonation protection.
- Conversion: links in organic posts and Reels, scheduled Stories.
- Operations: analytics exports, audience insights and WhatsApp business agent capacity.
Small teams could test the Essential or Advanced plan if links and scheduling remove a workflow bottleneck. Brands already investing in WhatsApp commerce should watch how Meta Business Agent capacity scales, while AI-heavy content teams may find the Core or Premium bundles useful if they regularly hit free-generation limits.
Pricing and feature availability can vary by market, app and account, so marketing teams should verify what is available for their region before budgeting.
