Fujifilm India has named actor Rashmika Mandanna as brand ambassador for its Imaging Solutions business, a mandate that spans electronic imaging, instax and photo imaging portfolios across India. The partnership, announced on 6 October 2026, is built around a single pitch: photography as personal expression and memory, especially for younger consumers.
What the ambassador will front
The imaging portfolio is broader than one camera line. Fujifilm India’s consumer ecosystem includes:
- instax instant cameras and smartphone printers
- Digital cameras for enthusiasts and professionals
- QuickSnap products and binoculars
- Photo printing solutions that complete the click-to-print journey
The company has also been building physical touchpoints such as the Fujifilm Spectrum tour, X-Space and the House of Photography in Mumbai to let people experience the ecosystem rather than only buy a product.
Why Rashmika Mandanna fits the brief
Rashmika is being positioned not only as a popular actor but as an existing instax user. She said photographs let people hold on to moments and feelings long after they pass. As an instax user, she added, she has ‘always enjoyed the feeling of seeing a photograph come alive in my hands.’
As an instax user myself, I have always enjoyed the feeling of seeing a photograph come alive in my hands and being able to share it with someone. — Rashmika Mandanna, brand ambassador, FUJIFILM India
FUJIFILM India Managing Director Koji Wada linked the choice to the company’s purpose of ‘Giving our world more smiles.’ Arun Babu, Associate Director, Imaging Solutions Division, said the partnership could inspire people to explore photography and discover new ways to create and express themselves.
The marketing play: authenticity over star casting
For marketers, this is a useful reminder that the strongest ambassador stories often begin with existing product use. Instead of simply hiring a famous face, Fujifilm India is foregrounding a user story, which turns the celebrity announcement into proof of product experience. That matters when the goal is to move consumers from digital capture to tangible print.
The likely next test is execution: whether the association shows up as product demonstrations, retail experiences or content that teaches the click-to-print journey, rather than a traditional ad-only endorsement.
