India’s premier golf tournament has a new brand in its corner. Kohler India, best known for kitchen and bath design, has joined the DP World India Championship 2026 as an Official Partner. The event is underway at Delhi Golf Club from October 15 to 18.
What the partnership covers
The field includes major champions Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy, along with defending champion Tommy Fleetwood. For Kohler, the draw is not only sporting prestige but direct access to business leaders, luxury buyers and India’s golf community.
The brand is activating the sponsorship with an experiential zone inside the tournament’s fan zone. Visitors can take a putting challenge and enter a lucky draw that offers a chance to experience a Kohler golf course overseas. It is a small but meaningful shift: the brand is asking people to do something, not just see a logo.
Why golf makes sense for Kohler
Golf already sits inside Kohler’s global hospitality business. The company owns a collection of championship courses in Wisconsin, including Whistling Straits along Lake Michigan and Blackwolf Run, known for its glacier-shaped terrain. It also offers The Baths, a family-friendly 10-hole par-3 and putting course, plus the Kohler Golf Academy and Kohler Swing Studio.
That portfolio gives the India activation a genuine story. For a design business, golf is a natural fit for a message about precision, performance and premium experiences, and the audience at a golf championship tends to align with the buyers of high-end kitchen and bath products.
“We believe that precision and performance are fundamental to creating exceptional experiences, whether in design or sport,” said Ranjeet Oak, President, Kohler Kitchen & Bath South Asia.
What it signals for premium brands
At a time when premium brands are hunting for curated audiences, a golf sponsorship offers useful qualities. The format is unhurried, aspirational and often attended by decision-makers, making it an efficient environment for a brand that sells high-consideration kitchen and bath solutions.
Building on an existing playbook
Kohler’s earlier India golf engagement came through the NDTV Golf Pro-Am, a nationwide series that brought together professional golfers, business leaders and enthusiasts, with cricketer Kapil Dev adding profile. The new championship partnership pushes that playbook to a bigger international stage.
What marketers can take away
- Anchor a sponsorship in an asset the brand already owns, rather than treating it as a logo deal.
- Give the right audience a hands-on interaction, such as a challenge or prize experience.
- Use a premium niche sport to reach business and high-net-worth audiences in one concentrated setting.
For luxury and design-led brands, the lesson is clear: a sponsorship works harder when it gives people something to do, see or win, instead of another banner that gets ignored.
