Laxmi Dental Limited has launched a consumer awareness campaign for its Illusion Zirconia Dental Crowns, with actor Madhuri Dixit as the face. The campaign uses an everyday dental clinic moment to challenge passive decisions and steer families toward a more informed choice of restoration.

Two films, one behavioural shift

The campaign consists of two films set in a dentist’s clinic. In one, a son answers “Whatever” when asked which crown he would choose for his mother. In the second, a daughter gives the same indifferent reply about her father’s treatment. Madhuri Dixit then appears to reframe the moment around reciprocity, asking whether parents should receive the same thoughtful consideration they have given their children. Both stories close with the family selecting Illusion Zirconia.

The brand’s signature line states: “When the dentist asks, ‘Which crown?’, it’s Illusion Zirconia, hands down.” The phrasing encourages patients to join the treatment conversation rather than leaving the decision to a casual “whatever.”

Why the creative works for a low-engagement category

Dental crowns are not everyday conversation topics. Most consumers do not know the material choices, durability trade-offs or aesthetic options available to them. Laxmi Dental’s campaign converts that gap into a relationship-led story, linking a product decision to how adult children care for ageing parents.

For marketing professionals, this is a strong example of problem-agitate-solve in healthcare advertising:

  • Problem: patients defer to a vague, passive response when asked to choose a crown.
  • Agitate: the same parents made deliberate choices for their children, so the balance should be restored.
  • Solve: Illusion Zirconia becomes the clear, named answer, reinforced with proof points.

Trust signals do the rational work

The emotional insight is supported by product claims. According to Laxmi Dental, more than 3 million Illusion Zirconia crowns have been delivered across 28 countries. The crowns use CAD/CAM technology and FDA- and CE-certified materials, and the company highlights a lifetime warranty.

Rajesh Khakhar, Chairperson & Whole-Time Director, Laxmi Dental Limited, said the campaign is intended to create “meaningful conversations between patients and dentists” while reinforcing the value of quality dental solutions. Madhuri Dixit added that patients “deserve to know what goes into their smile,” pointing to the brand’s CAD/CAM precision and consistency.

What marketers can borrow

The campaign will roll out across digital and social media platforms. The key metric for the team will be whether a family-care emotional angle can lift awareness of a specific dental product. A useful planning lens is the behaviour-change ladder: first make a hidden choice visible, then make the better choice personally meaningful, and finally give consumers enough evidence to justify the decision to themselves and to a dentist.
