DoubleVerify (DV) has added a natural-language query layer to its DV Pinnacle platform, giving advertisers and agencies a faster way to interrogate campaign performance across fraud and invalid traffic, brand suitability, viewability, geographic alignment and attention. The new feature, Ask Neura, is part of the company’s push to make media intelligence accessible to decision-makers who are not full-time analysts.

What Ask Neura does

Instead of relying on predefined reports, users can ask follow-up questions in plain language. Ask Neura is designed to explain unexpected shifts, generate summaries and point users toward the relevant dashboards for deeper analysis. DV says the tool can also identify patterns and opportunities that may otherwise be missed.

  • Natural-language analysis across fraud/IVT, brand suitability, viewability, geographic alignment and attention
  • Trend explanations for campaign anomalies
  • Summaries and links to source dashboards
  • Pattern and opportunity identification
  • Access via Ask Neura or third-party tools such as Anthropic Claude through Model Context Protocol

Why it matters for marketing teams

For agency teams managing multiple clients, speed is a competitive advantage. Jake Li, Trading Director at Skyrise, said Ask Neura gives teams “a simpler way to understand what changed, why it changed and where we should focus next.” That is the kind of reduction in analyst drag that can shift hours back toward client work.

DV CEO Mark Zagorski framed the goal as moving beyond simple search. He said conversational AI should “surface insights you may not have known to look for in the first place,” and argued the tool helps democratise decision-making, not just data access.

A practical way to adopt this is an ask-explain-act loop. First ask a question instead of pulling a standard report. Then let the tool explain the anomaly or opportunity. Finally, route the result into an action—whether that is a manual optimisation or an approved action via the new activation agent.

The wider roadmap

Ask Neura is not a one-off. In January, DV introduced conversational AI inside DV Authentic Streaming TV. That capability is now being extended to social and the open web. The feature sits within DV Neura, the cognitive engine across the DV Media AdVantage Platform, which combines media verification, performance optimisation and outcomes measurement. DV is also introducing the DV Neura Activation Agent to autonomously execute approved campaign actions, moving from insight toward automated response.

Bottom line

Marketers should watch this space. Natural-language analytics tools are reducing the barrier between raw campaign data and business decisions. For DV customers, Ask Neura may replace at least some dashboard digging with a simple question. For everyone else, it is a useful reminder that the next wave of ad tech will be less about more dashboards and more about clearer answers.
